Heather H. Armstrong is a Doctor of Audiology at the Hearing and Balance Center. Heather practices at our Newberry, Laurens and Greenwood locations weekly.
Born and raised in Newberry, S.C., Heather graduated from Newberry High School, earning her bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia College. She then traveled to Ruston, LA., to attend graduate school at Louisiana Tech University, where she completed her dissertation, A Communication Process Training Model for Use by Audiologists in Counseling, rounding out her studies with a residency year in San Francisco in April 2007.
Heather then worked in a private practice audiology setting in the Bay Area of California and at the non-profit hospital, Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She and her husband, Mickey, have three beautiful daughters and recently built their dream home in Newberry. She has received awards for research in the field of audiology and really enjoys being able to improve patients’ overall quality of life and communication abilities.
A licensed audiologist in South Carolina, Heather is additionally a fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
