Thomas Valente, M.D., is an otolaryngologist with Lakelands Ear, Nose, and Throat, a physician practice of Self Regional Healthcare. Dr. Valente earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and received the President’s Clinical Science Award. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. His clinical interests include the full spectrum of adult and pediatric ENT care, with a focus on surgical and nonsurgical management of ear, nose, throat and head and neck conditions. Dr. Valente is also an accomplished researcher and has presented at multiple national medical conferences. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the South Carolina Medical Association and the Texas Association of Otolaryngology. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, tennis, piano, wakeboarding, long-distance running and traveling.
