Thomas Valente, M.D., is an otolaryngologist with Lakelands Ear, Nose, and Throat, a physician practice of Self Regional Healthcare.
Dr. Valente earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), received the President’s Clinical Science Award, and was selected as a Roper St. Francis Scholar. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, home to the largest medical center in the world.
Dr. Valente provides comprehensive ENT care for patients of all ages, with clinical interests in both surgical and nonsurgical management of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions. He is also fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.
Dr. Valente is a proud graduate of Presbyterian College, where he served as captain of the varsity soccer team. In his senior year, he was named Big South Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year and graduated as valedictorian of his class with a degree in mathematics.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Valente enjoys soccer, tennis, piano, wakeboarding, long-distance running, traveling, and spending time with his wife and child.
